The upcoming 2020 NFL season has many thinking the Bills are the favorite in the AFC East. But Buffalo isn’t just going to stroll into that title. The Dolphins, Jets, and of course the Patriots, will all have something to say about that.

So let’s stay on top of some of the latest headlines surrounding the Bills’ divisional foes now. Here are xxxx news stories from the other three AFC East teams, including some big news from the Jets, right here:

The Jamal Adams saga

In one short week since our last update on all-things AFC East, Jets safety Jamal Adams has pretty much taken over the headlines. The star safety is looking to be moved off the Jets roster and to another team. It’s been nothing short of a roller coaster. As things are in 2020, social media has played a part from Adams liking messages and photos from fans about him joining their team.

But this time it seems pretty set in stone that Adams has to leave.

Last season is when the Adams saga began. There was speculation that the Jets might move the defensive back around the trade deadline. Now those rumors have boiled over.

Adams is demanding to be the NFL’s highest paid safety. That’d see him sign a deal worth more than $14.6 million. He also wanted to be the highest-paid player on the Jets which is upwards of $17 million… a lot for a safety. There’s also about seven or eight teams that Adams would want a trade to. Those include the Ravens, Texans, Chiefs Eagles, 49ers, Seahawks, Bucs and Cowboys, his hometown team.

Stay tuned for how this one plays out, but as long as he’s out of the AFC East, that’s good news for the Bills. Adams is good.
