At the start of the third round of The Masters, the leaderboard was loaded with former major champions and top-ranked players. By the end of Saturday, there was only Dustin Johnson, who made Masters history with a 65 in the third round to take a four-shot lead into the clubhouse.
Johnson began the day in a five-way tie for first place at 9-under par for the tournament, but quickly separated himself on the leaderboard. He began his round with an eagle at the par-5 second hole, followed by birdies at the third and fourth.
Johnson went bogey-free throughout the round, and took advantage of both par-5s down the stretch to get to 16-under for the championship.
With a second 65 in the book, Johnson became the first player in Masters history to card multiple 65s in a single week. Corey Conners is the only other player in the field to card a 65 this week.
Coverage of the fourth round will begin early at 10:00 a.m. ET on CBS.
