The New England Patriots selected 10 players in the 2020 NFL Draft. Today, ESPN reporter Adam Schefter is reporting the Patriots have agreed to a four-year rookie deal with second-round pick Josh Uche.

The Patriots traded up in the draft to select Uche, sending the Baltimore Ravens the 98th pick in order to move up from 71 to 60. Uche was reportedly one of three players, along with safety Kyle Dugger, the Patriots targeted in the second round of the draft. Uche’s ability to impact the game both as a pass rusher and in coverage makes him a versatile player in the Patriots defense.
Boston Globe reporter Ben Volin gave the details of the deal, and Miguel Benzan broke down the yearly numbers:
Patriots second-round pick Josh Uche (60th overall) gets a four-year deal worth $5.389m, which includes a signing bonus of $1.48m. Great value if he develops into a starter

Josh Uche's deal should look like. Hopefully, he will earn an Proven Performance Escalator increasing his 2023 salary. pic.twitter.com/ueIws3p3mX
