While the Browns opponent in Week 1 is the story, the situation around the game in Week 2 makes it most interesting.

Cleveland will come off what can be expected to be a grueling, physical road game only to come home and have to face a divisional foe on short rest.

The Bengals are the polar opposite of the Ravens, at least based on last year, as they earned the right to draft first overall in the NFL Draft and selected Joe Burrow. While the Bengals had the worst record in the league, they did not go into tear down mode with their roster. Instead, they spent money in free agency for the first time in a long time.

Usually content to let their players walk and build mostly through the draft, Cincinnati instead put the franchise tag on receiver A.J. Green, signed defensive lineman D.J. Reader to a big deal, added safety Vonn Bell and two former starting cornerbacks from the Vikings, who have a year plus of experience going against Stefanski's offense every day in practice.

The Bengals used the draft to select Burrow, who should start right away, and receiver Tee Higgins to give them a very good trio of receivers. The rest of their draft, mostly, looked to improve their defense with three linebackers added as well as Khalid Kareem to rush the passer off the edge.

With a ton of rookies, even highly regarded ones, the Bengals early returns are not likely to be positive in the 2020 season but the scenario around Week 2 could make things interesting for the Browns.

While a grueling, physical game is likely, the result for Week 1 against the Ravens could make Week 2 even more interesting. If the Browns beat their rival, could they overlook the Bengals in a short week leading to an upset? If the Browns lose to Baltimore, especially if the game isn't close, does the team struggle with the "here we go again" feeling quickly under the new regime?

Short week, coming off a physical and emotional game and against an opponent with a lot of new players could be an early-season trap game for the Browns.
