The long anticipated NFL schedule was released tonight and Browns fans can already begin to play the schedule game.
The Browns open on Sunday Sept. 13 against the defending AFC North champion Ravens in Baltimore, who finished last year with a 14-2 record. They will host the Ravens on Monday Night football in Week 14 on Dec. 14 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
After the season opener, the Browns will open their home schedule in Week 2 with a Thursday Night game at home with the Bengals on Sept. 17.
“I think it's really an exciting day when you get this schedule,” Kevin Stefanski said. “As coaches, we look at it and start to put some plans in place. We knew who we were playing, we knew where but now to see it all put together certainly is a really fun time for our coaching staff to map out our plan as this offseason continues on.”
The Browns will get to look at No. 1 overall pick, Joe Burrow, when the Browns host the Bengals.
“We're excited to get to work against some great opponents,” Stefanski said. “The AFC North has some really good football teams and we'll get to see a couple of them early. We see the division champs there in Week 1 and then are really excited to get back in front of our fans that Thursday night vs. the Bengals.”
The schedule features the two primetime games and the Browns bye week is in Week 9, Nov. 8. The Browns will face four teams that made the playoffs in 2019 -- Texans, Eagles, Titans and Ravens -- over a five-week span from weeks 10-14.
The Browns have three home games in a row in Week 8, Week 10 and Week 11, sandwiched by the bye week against the Raiders, Texans and Eagles.
There was a rumor that the Browns would play on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys, but that is not happening, as they will travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys in Week 4 on Oct. 4.
The Browns will travel to New York for back-to-back games on Dec. 20 and Dec. 26/27 to play the Giants and then the Jets before finishing the season at home against the Steelers on Jan. 3. The game with the Jets final date has not been determined, but could be played on either Saturday or Sunday.
