Buffalo Bills activate John Brown from injured reserve before placing him on Reserve/COVID-19 list - Buffalo Rumblings

sumantotos.blogspot.com

The Buffalo Bills made a series of roster moves on Monday prior to their primetime game against the New England Patriots. They activated wide receiver John Brown from injured reserve and there was much rejoicing. Then they immediately placed him on the Reserve/COVID-19 list along with practice-squad safety Josh Thomas and practice-squad running back Christian Wade.

Buffalo placed running back T.J. Yeldon on the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this weekend after he tested positive for the coronavirus. All three of today’s placements on the COVID list were because of close contacts with Yeldon.

We haven’t seen Brown in six weeks since he suffered multiple nagging leg injuries that hindered his ability. Buffalo sat him down and was bringing him back slowly as they were still successful in the passing game with rookie Gabriel Davis replacing him. The Bills released Jake Kumerow, which drove speculation that Brown would be healthy and ready to go for tonight’s game. That sort of turned out to be the case.

Buffalo also activated practice squad QB Davis Webb for the game. Having three QBs on the active roster for the last two weeks of the season makes sense in the event they pull Josh Allen in the second half.

We will continue to update this story.
