No. 1 Alabama lost the College Football Playoff national title game last night to No. 3 Georgia 33-18. It was a rematch of this year’s SEC title game where the 2 teams met in Atlanta, Alabama beating Georgia 41-24.
Alabama had head coach Nick Saban, LB Will Anderson, and QB Bryce Young were on the podium during the postgame press conference. Right before the players walked off, Saban stopped them and gave them kind words about the season they had.

“These two guys that are sitting up here, they’re not defined by one game,” said Saban.
Talking about the Heisman Trophy winner and the sensational LB. Alabama finished the season 13-2 with losses to Texas A&M and Georgia but won the SEC West and SEC Title game.
This is the first time Saban has ever lost to his assistants was undefeated before the 2 losses this season. Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M and Kirby Smart at Georgia. Saban is still an incredible 25-2 when coaching against former assistants.
The Tide had a disappointing finish to a remarkable season, but we all know that they’ll be right back here next season, especially with those 2 young men coming back for another season.
