Earlier in the week, the popular BetMGM Sportsbook released its opening line for the Ohio State vs. Penn State prime time affair. The Buckeyes were favored by -12.5 initially, but we always like to check-in just before the game to see if there’s been any movement.

And usually, there is.

In this case, the odds have been adjusted down a little. OSU is a minus-10 point favorite on the eve of the game.

It’s hard to understand why some like Penn State to keep the game closer, but it most likely has to do with the games between these two generally being one-possession affairs over the last few seasons (aside from last year’s 28-17 Buckey victory).

On the flip side, the Nittany Lions dropped a surprising contest against Indiana and are without all-world linebacker Micah Parsons because of a decision to opt out during the coronavirus pandemic.

Either way, the line is on the move, but at least Ohio State is still favored.
