Monkey Knife Fight Advice: Week 4 (2020 Fantasy Football) - FantasyPros

sumantotos.blogspot.com

Welcome to Monkey Knife Fight. Monkey Knife Fight is one of the more intriguing new entrants to the DFS arena. Instead of the traditional salary cap based contests, Monkey Knife Fight allows DFS players to put their fantasy football knowledge and predictive powers to the test.

They offer fantasy point and stat based contests. Perhaps the most appealing of all of their offerings is the over/under (now called ‘more or less’) contests. In these contests you can choose over/under totals for a preset combination of two to 10 players. Your win probability obviously goes down with the more players you add, but you receive an increased payout multiplier in exchange.

Since Monkey Knife Fight’s fantasy point and stat-based totals are dynamic, meaning the total, total type, and pairings change throughout the week, it is important to search for favorable and advantageous total pairings to exploit on a daily basis. Ideally, when choosing a total pairing you want to feel extremely confident on one of the totals, and feel strongly enough about the other total to proceed. This week we will take a look at some of the ‘More’ options that stood out the most for Week 4. Note that these are not locked in pairings, and may no longer be offered by the time you log in to make your picks.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB – KC): 72.5 rushing yards

Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been excellent this season. He has averaged 80 rushing yards per game on the season but has actually been held under 72.5 rushing yards in two of his three contests. Following his 138 rushing yard explosion in Week 1, he has also been held under the four yards per carry mark in two straight games. He of course has already proven to be a weapon as a receiver out of the backfield, so not all is lost as he goes through his rookie struggles on the ground. He gives the Chefs a credible threat out of the backfield and has been used as a workhorse, averaging 18.3 carries per game.

The Chiefs are favorites against New England and are expected to be running the ball a lot in the second half as they look to run out the clock. His 10 carry outing against the Chargers in Week 2 is likely an aberration. CEH has averaged 4.4 yards per carry this season and will be facing a Patriots defense that has surrendered over four yards per carry to the running back position. The number has been set well at MonkeyKnifeFight as no individual running back has crossed 73 rushing yards against the New England this season, with Josh Jacobs hitting 71 on 16 carries, and Chris Carson hitting 72 on 17 carries. However, the running back position went over 90 rushing yards in both of those contests. CEH should see 20 or more carries with five plus targets in this contest unless he picks up an injury. Pick: More

Travis Kelce (TE – KC): 70.5 receiving yards

Travis Kelce has been as good as promised this season, leading the tight end position with seven receptions for 75.7 receiving yards per game. He has 87 or more receiving yards in each of his last two contests this season. Patrick Mahomes will likely be looking for Kelce early before turning to the run late, so expect a bulk of his yardage output to come in the first quarter. There is some concern here based on recent trends and potential playcalling from both sides. Kelce has been held under 71 receiving yards in each of his last three contests against the New England Patriots. However, according to TRNDS Sports, Kelce has exceeded 66.5 receiving yards in nine of his last 10 games as a favorite after a win, averaging 84.6 receiving yards per game.

It is also fair to assume that unless Mahomes decides to destroy the Patriots with the pass early, that there could be long drawn out, run dominant drives from both teams as they each look to keep the opposing quarterback off the field. The expectation here is that Mahomes, Andy Reid, and Eric Bieniemy all decide to put the screws to the Patriots early in order to dissuade a run-heavy and potentially dominant rushing attack from Cam Newton and the Patriots backfield. Kelce will be a big part of that and will be facing a linebacking and safety corps missing more than a few pieces from years past. Take Kelce to cross the 71 receiving yard barrier for the third straight week. Click ‘More’ for Kelce.
