Jakarta: President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo met with the participants of the Fostering Economy for Prosperous Families (Mekaar) financial assistance program in Cepoko, Magetan, East Java on Friday, February 1, 2019.
"Why do we approve your loan requests? Because you are thrustwhorty people," President Jokowi said.
"So you should the installment on time. you shoud follow all the rules," President Jokowi added.Mekaar is operated by state-owned financial company PT Permodalan Nasional Madani. It is designed to help super micro businesses to become micro businesses.
The country's poverty rate decreased to 9.66 percent in September 2018. It decreased by 0.2 percentage point compared to March 2018.
President Jokowi was accompanied by State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and East Java Governor Soekarwo.
